God promises that if we will center our lives in a genuine relationship with Him, He will then shape even our desires to align with His plans—plans that are always better than ours. As in the story of Joseph, a man who started his journey with big dreams—it was only by submitting to the arduous reductions of life that he was able to realize the dreams that God had planted in his heart. The Joseph at the end of the story was almost unrecognizable to the man at the beginning, and so will our story be if we can submit to the plans and paths God marks out for us; plans to give us a future and a hope.
