This message is the first part of two sessions on Christian education from the 2017 Symposium.

Culture can be defined as one’s lived religion. Christian parents who desire to raise successful children, must ask themselves: what culture am I rooted in? Once children are trained to be successful in Egypt, they may refuse to leave. Parents who take their children on excursions to worship God in the wilderness, ignore that fact that their identity remains firmly rooted in a hostile culture. This message poses a challenge: embark on a thorough archeological dig throughout your home to remove every artifact that remains from the counterposing culture.
