The ancient Hebrews viewed salvation as an unfolding journey of relationship with God; this stood in sharp contrast to the Greek perspective. They purported that human-centered reasoning was the only similitude mortals held in common with the divine, thus exalting their fallible minds to the place of God. How has this Greek mindset invaded the church, and does it even matter?
