Jesus rebuked the Pharisees for their failure to discern the signs of their day, calling them hypocrites. Jesus will call a lack of discernment hypocrisy only if our blindness is rooted in an affection counter to our stated devotion to another kingdom. Love is blind. So if we are in love with the world, we will remain blind to the signs around us that tell us to change our mindset and divorce ourselves from this world. We, as the Body of Christ, must unify in spirit and in vision and prepare in obedience to the Spirit’s leading.
