Do we realize that every decision that we make is naturally made with our own will and predispositions weighting the balance? Jesus said that He knew His judgment was correct because He sought not His own will but the will of the One who sent Him. Unless we actively seek to die to our own will and to tune our emotions and outlook to the Spirit, we will be led astray by our own desires. We will convince ourselves that God is speaking to us and leading us, yet it will be our own will on the scale, predisposing us to believe and do what we want.
