As human beings we have a terrifyingly God-like ability to control the outcome of our lives and the efficacy of God’s promises through our actions, through our choice to receive or reject the grace of God. To claim that God’s promise worked for our neighbor but doesn’t work for us is to mistrust and blame God. His promises are always yes and amen! When we submit our will to His, being sure not to misinterpret His word, we will find the promises of God to be true every time.
