If God is pruning the branches of our spiritual tree, it is proof that our present yield is not to be compared with the harvest He envisions. Trees covered with showy green leaves, yet absent of fruit, indicate independence from the trunk and will be cut off and thrown into the fire. Does it feel that God is pruning us in a cold and dormant time? This is because He sees spring around the corner and envisions branches heavily laden with fruit if we'll endure the pruning in this time.
