In a time of famine, Elijah found the widow of Zarephath cooking her last meal for herself and her son. He surprised her by asking her to first feed him. Is this not how God so often does things? Just when we think it's all over for us, He comes and asks us for the last thing we're holding onto. If we'll surrender it to Him, we'll find that it's not over.
