In order to receive wisdom we must first rid our hearts of impatience, for the two are incompatible. Where are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden?—in Christ! So we must put on the mind of Christ, trusting God by doing everything His way. Wisdom builds a house; insensitivity (pride, impatience, doublemindedness) demolish it. Regardless of our accuracy or insight, we are nothing but expert demolishers every time we rely on our own understanding in an attempt to do God’s will.
