This world is filled with things that are broken and can never be fixed. God cannot and will not change the fallen world, but He longs to change our hearts—enabling us by His power to will and do His good pleasure. Our circumstances represent a form that, if allowed, will shape our lives accordingly; but Paul commands us to not be conformed to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds.
