In a life spent fighting against the will and call of God, many situations and circumstances will arise where, like Jonah, our self-made course of life is shaken. These circumstances are the goads that God would use to turn us off the path to ultimate destruction and back to the narrow path of life. Will we rebuff and stubbornly kick against these circumstances, or surrender our will and be taken in a way we would not have chosen?
