In Luke 18, Jesus posed the question: When the Son of Man comes, will He find any faith on the earth? We know that faith comes by hearing the word of God. But the apostle Paul poignantly challenges, "How can they hear without a preacher? And how can they preach unless they are sent?" So the Son of Man will find faith on the earth only if people can still believe God Himself speaks through imperfect men and women—the "preachers" He has sent. This stands at the heart of what true faith is—recognizing the word of God, even when it comes through imperfect vessels.
